After months of speculation, Jessica Marais and James Stewart have confirmed their separation.
The Packed to the Rafters co-stars, who have a three-year-old daughter together, released a joint statement this afternoon announcing that the couple have amicably decided to end their engagement.
“Jessica Marais and James Stewart have amicably separated,” read the statement, “Their main focus at this time is the co-parenting of their daughter and they ask that media respect their privacy.”
Last year, Jessica spoke with The Weekly, praising her “supportive” fiancé, James.
“I’m very lucky to have a partner that supports me,” the 30-year-old said our June issue, where she revealed her struggles with bipolar disorder.
Jessica and James met on the set of their TV show, Packed to the Rafters and announced their engagement in 2011. They have a three-year-old daughter named Scout.
