Sheโ€™s been separated from her husband for a month but now, Jesinta Franklin is on the countdown to reuniting with her AFL player husband Lance โ€œBuddyโ€ Franklin in the AFL bubble in Brisbane.

But first, the model must complete two weeks of mandatory hotel quarantine in Queensland with her two young children, son Rocky, four months, and daughter Tullulah, one.

Taking to Instagram to document her epic journey from their hometown of Sydney, which is currently in the midst of a strict lockdown to combat the Delta outbreak, to Brisbane, where Buddy has been bunkered down in the AFL bubble throughout the season, the star admitted travelling with two kids under two was no easy task but the reward of reuniting with the Sydney Swans star will be worth it.

โ€œWeโ€™re headed to hotel quarantine for 14 days so our family can be reunited. Weโ€™ve been in isolation (complete lockdown in our home) since Tuesday and only left for a drive through COVID test,โ€ the 29-year-old explained alongside a snap of the familyโ€™s luggage.

โ€œItโ€™s not lost on me how privileged we are to be able to reunite with our families. Thank you to the @AFL and QLD health for keeping us safe and making this possible,โ€ she mused next to a picture of her holding Tullulah in one arm and pushing the pram with Rocky in the other.

The journey wasnโ€™t without its challenges with Jesinta admitting that at one point, her luggage with all her kidsโ€™ nappies had been lost.

โ€œAnd a special shoutout to our amazing @SydneySwans staff. Especially @RobbieThomas96 who located my lost bag with all of the nappies,โ€ she said.

Earlier in the week, the star shared a sweet snap of her sonโ€™s foot and wrote: โ€œLockdown love โค๏ธ 4 weeks without @buddy_franklin23 We miss you ! X.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m separated from Jes and the kids at the moment and itโ€™s really hard to be away.โ€

Last month, Buddy told Now To Love that being separated from his young family had been tough.

โ€œIโ€™m separated from Jes and the kids at the moment and itโ€™s really hard to be awayโ€ฆ so there are lots of FaceTime calls between us but we feel incredibly lucky to have two happy and healthy kids,โ€ he told Now To Love of the challenging set-up, which the family also had to conquer during last yearโ€™s season.

The superstar goal kicker couldnโ€™t speak highly enough of his wife, who he married in 2016, for looking after the kids while he was locked down in the AFL bubble.

โ€œJesinta has been amazing, sheโ€™s an inspiration. There are challenging days for sure, Iโ€™m not going to lie, but she takes it all in her stride. If the washing doesnโ€™t get done, she doesnโ€™t stress,โ€ the 34-year-old said.
