To mark International Women’s Day, Jesinta sat down with 18 of the country’s influential women for roundtable discussion series for David Jones, called Women In Conversation.

The 24-year-old told the panel, which included Lucy Turnbull, Lisa Wilkinson, Jessica Rowe and Gretel Killeen, that she was advised to cover up when discussing sensitive topics like racism and mental health.

“I got a call from my manager saying, ‘You can’t wear those kind of tops on TV when you’re talking about such prominent issues. They show a little bit too much”, Campbell told the panel. “And I said, ‘Why can’t I show my tits and have an opinion?’”

“Why can’t I be sexy, and have an opinion? If I feel confident in something, I don’t care about what someone thinks,” she continued.

“If we want equality, we should be able to do things the way we want to. I’m still respectful to myself.”

The group further discussed what it means to be a woman today, relationships, motherhood, gender equality, mental health and self-belief.
