Jesinta and Buddy.
Almost a year ago to the day, Jesinta Campbell told The Weekly that her beau, AFL superstar Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin, was “the one”.
That statement has been well and truly fulfilled with the news that the glamour couple are engaged and happy about it beyond words.
“I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” Jesinta posted to her Instagram account.

Campbell, 23, and Sydney Swans star Franklin, 27, had only been dating a few months when the beauty queen knew it was serious enough to introduced Buddy to her parents.
Speaking to The Weekly in December last year, she said “We decided to do brunch and, at 5pm, I was ushering Mum and Dad out the door. I think it’s safe to say he was a hit.”
She went on to drop some hints: “In five years’ time, I definitely see myself starting a family.”
The announcement was met with a flood of well wishes from friends and stars and a follow-up post from Jesinta thanking everyone.
