Life has been nothing short of a roller-coaster for 46-year-old JLo, who split from ex-husband Marc Anthony in 2011.
The marriage might not have made it to the end, but that doesn’t mean that the If You Had My Love singer knows nothing of unconditional love.
Speaking to People of the complete adoration the brunette beauty has for the twins she shares with her ex, Jenny from the block broke down, unable to contain her emotions.
“Here’s what had changed in my life – I had given birth. I had given birth and the kids honestly just gave me a new direction.”
The loving mother then began to cry as she continued: “They just made me realise what was real and what wasn’t real. They just changed everything.”
The triple threat also opened up about the hidden meaning behind her hit song On The Floor, which she described as her “anthem” to getting back out there after becoming a mother.
“There is a thing that happens and On The Floor honestly was me again going, ‘Get back out there. You’re an animal, you’re a beast. Come on – pull up your panties and get back out there,’” she chuckled.
Along with her most important role as a mother, it’s been a busy year for the superstar who currently stars as a cop in the US drama series Shades of Blue, whilst simultaneously judging the 15th series of American Idol.
Up next on the stars agenda, is an appearance on James Corden’s, the Late Late Show’s Carpool Karaoke primetime special.

In the past, James Cordon has given a lift to many high profile guests for a sing-a-long, ride around town, complimented by plenty of hilarious banter.
The funny man has previously featured artists like Justin Bieber, Sia, Adele, Mariah Carey and One Direction, but we have a feeling that JLo might just be our favourite guest yet!
As for what the mother-of-two will sing on her car journey? Personally, we’re hoping for a bit of Let’s Get Loud!
The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special will air on Tuesday, March 29 at 10 p.m. ET on the CBS network.
