Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about the amazing chemistry between her and Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth.
Jen, 24, revealed just how close she has become to the Aussie hottie, also 24, throughout the filming of the Hunger Games movies.
In fact, it seem’s the fun-loving pair’s friendship has blossomed into something more intimate.
“[What] surprised me is that I would never expect to ever have a man this good-looking ever be my best friend. I just would never assume those things could happen, but he is,” Jen, who plays the heroine Katniss in the films, revealed in an interview with Nylon magazine.
In fact, she has nothing but praise for Liam who plays her love interest Gale.
“He’s the most wonderful, lovable, family-oriented, sweet, hilarious, amazing guy,” she said.
Jen also told Nylon that it was Liam who helped her become the indomitable force that she is now known as.
“He actually taught me how to be fair and to stand up for myself. It’s my biggest weakness: negotiating.
“I’m a wimp about standing up for myself and Liam is always fair. He’s always on time, he’s always doing his job, and he’s good about making sure that things stay fair. He’s teaching me to toughen up a little bit. That was important, I need that.”
It wasn’t just Liam’s praises that she was singing either – Jen has also become very close to her other co-star Josh Hutcherson who plays Peeta. The whole series of films has propelled the three of them from little-known actors into superstars and Jen says that even though filming has now finished, they’re still constantly in touch.
“We’re still best friends with each other, and we talk to each other all the time—way too much—but it’s different. If all I had was this friendship with Josh and Liam—if that’s all I ever got from this—I would consider it a blessing. Our lives changed together and we had each other.”
It seems like Jen reserves a special soft spot for the Aussie actor Liam though. We wonder if there’s any hidden romance going on there? Perhaps things are over between Jen and Coldplay front man Chris Martin afterall?
An insider recently told the UK’s Heat magazine that the pair have grown very close while out together on the promotional tour for the latest Hunger Games instalment, The Mockingjay, Part 1. “They intend on keeping things very low-key so they can both see where fate takes them,” the source said.
