It seems as though Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin may still be an item, contrary to earlier reports that they had split.
Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, 24, was spotted at Coldplay front man Chris Martin’s Malibu mansion on the same day that it was reported that the pair had split, according to a new report from People magazine.
It was originally thought that Jen had dropped by to collect her belongings and say her goodbyes to Chris. The MailOnline reported that a source who is close to Jen told them: “Jennifer went over to Chris’s to apologise for the coverage of their breakup being so one-sided, reclaim her possessions and to ensure there were no hard feelings.”
Three days later though, on Thursday night, Jen was seen back at Chris’s place, although they did party at separate events on Friday for Halloween with Jen partying at Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s bash while Chris went trick-or-treating with his ex Gwyneth and their children. The following night though, Jen was spotted heading back to Malibu to visit Chris, which seems to imply that the pair are still very much an item.
People magazine also reports that another insider source told them: “They’re very much together. He’s very much into her and they’re still seeing each other.”
It had also previously seemed as though Chris, 37, may be headed for a reconciliation with his ex Gwyneth Paltrow, 42, whom he split from in March this year, after she gave a public speech at the amFAR Gala last week calling him the “father of the year”.
Gwyneth and Chris are prone to such confusingly affectionate outbursts though as they have reportedly have maintained a highly amicable relationship since they announced their “conscious uncoupling” earlier this year. Gwyneth has reportedly even drawn up schedules to ensure that Chris can divide his time easily between dates with any new person he may be seeing, and quality time with the kids.
“Despite being very different beasts, Chris and Gwyneth adore one another. I suppose it’s a case of they can’t live without one another,” a source who is apparently close to the couple told the UK’sMirror.
The source continued: “the split released a lot of pressure from the intense relationship but they are still very close. They look back and enjoy what they did have and are loving what they currently have.”
For Gwyneth and Chris, the platonic relationship has always remained so that they could maintain a strong family bond for the sake of their children Apple, 10 and Moses, 8. That doesn’t mean though that things are going swimmingly between Chris and his new love…
