Jennifer Hawkins may be separated from her mum right now thanks to Sydney’s lockdown, but she made up for the distance by ringing in her mum’s birthday on Instagram.

The model posted a series of photos of her mum Gail, who turned 70, to commemorate the occasion.

In her first post, Jen and Gail have their arms around each other while they gaze into each other’s eyes.

“Happy 70th birthday mum! @hawkins_gail Love you so much!” wrote Jen.

Jen’s daughter Frankie makes an appearance in the second photo, as the three generations of Hawkins girls pose in front of a house.

Jen wrote a longer message detailing all the qualities her mum possesses that she wants to emulate in her own life as a person and mother.

“Happy birthday!! You are such a beautiful soul- selfless and caring!! If I can be half the person (& mother) you are, I’ll be doing ok! Love you!,” said Jen.

Of course, Jen expressed her desire to celebrate with her family in the future, which is something many Australians may understand too well.

Accompanied with a picture of their extended family, the soon-to-be mother of two wrote, “We all love you so much!! Can’t wait to celebrate soon!”

In perhaps one of the cutest photos in the thread, Jen posted a sweet moment shared between Gail and her granddaughter Frankie.

Finally, in the last post, Gail is beside Jen’s late dog Millie who sadly passed away in August.

The star broke the news on her Instagram, and she shared a slew of family photos with the message, “Our beautiful fur baby Milly left us yesterday and is resting in peace.”

“My heart is so heavy, she was such a big part of our lives and brought so much love and laughter,” Jen continued in her post.

Isn’t this one of the most sweet granddaughter and grandmother moments?

“Our little stalker, cuddle buddy and sock thief.. we will miss you so much!”

The sad news only came a few weeks after the 37-year-old and her husband, Jake Wall, 37, announced they’re expecting a baby boy, who is set to arrive later this year.
