In an interview published in the May issue of The Australian Women’s Weekly, the former Newcastle cheerleader strongly denies having work – despite it being a topic that stalks her, particularly on the internet.

“When someone says ‘under the knife’ I don’t have a reaction. Everyone in the industry gets that. That’s fine. I’m cool with that,” she tells The Weekly.

“I’m cool with people having an opinion, but as I said, I am happy with who I am as a person and really just want to live my life. I can’t live my life around what other people say. They just don’t get me, that’s how I take it.”

The 30-year-old, who started swimwear company, Cozi, and bronzing cosmetic range, Jbronze, also speaks candidly about her celebrity and how life has changed since the 2004 Miss Universe pageant in Ecuador a decade ago.

“When I first came to Sydney, I didn’t have a plan,” Jen tells The Weekly. “What I was hoping was to earn enough money to buy my first car. Even when I entered Miss Universe, I was excited because I was going overseas for the first time – a free trip and lots of fun – not because I thought I had a chance of winning.

“But here I am, 10 years later, with my head still in the clouds. I have had goals and plans, and I have worked really hard, but to be honest, I never expected things to turn out like this. I just grabbed an opportunity and I’ve been riding it,” she says.

“Even if everything stopped tomorrow, I’d still be immensely grateful for everything that’s happened to me because the truth is that it could all have gone pear-shaped.”
