Friends of Sylvia Jeffreys
have revealed exclusively to Woman’s Day that she’s so concerned about the media circus surrounding
her brother-in-law-to-be Karl Stefanovic that she’s banned
his new girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough from her and Peter Stefanovic’s wedding day.

While Karl is said to be “very disappointed”, our insiders reveal Jasmine is determined to not let the decision cause a rift between the normally tight-knit family.

“Jasmine was very excited to see them say ‘I do’ and finally get to meet all of Karl’s family,” says our source.

“But she also doesn’t want to take anything away from Sylvia and Peter’s big day. She completely understands.”

Pete popped the question last year.

Karl started dating the Brisbane-born model late last year.

The romance is a brand new chapter for the beloved Aussie icon, following his messy split with wife of 21 years and the mother of his three children, 45-year-old Cassandra Thorburn.

Just last month friends of the TV personality had admitted that Karl had invited 33-year-old Jasmine to his little brother’s April nuptials.

They explained that he felt it would have been the perfect time to introduce Jasmine to his family and friends.

It’s also believed Karl will soon introduce the Australian public to his new flame, taking the pretty blonde to this year’s Logie Awards, later in April.

Karl had hoped his girlfriend would get the chance to meet his family, pictured below.

“Karl and Jasmine don’t want to hide because they aren’t ashamed to be together,” a friend told Woman’s Day.

“They are hoping that once they declare they are a couple, public interest will die down.”

The duo recently indulged in a romantic getaway to Brisbane, where the 42-year-old met his girlfriend’s family.
