Janet was so overwhelmed by the outpour of support that at one point during the show, she wiped tears from her eyes.

The tour will be supporting the release of Janet’s upcoming eleventh studio album. While all the dates are yet to be announced, we’re hoping she stops by Australia!

On her 49th birthday in May, Janet took to Twitter to announce her comeback.

[Paris Jackson’s aunt](http://www.womansday.com.au/celebrity/hollywood-stars/paris-jackson-ive-got-a-new-family-now-12844 posted a video in which she said: “I’ve promised you’d hear it from my lips and now you will. This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening, let’s keep the conversation going.”

We haven’t heard new material from Janet since 2008, but producer Jimmy Jam chatted to Entertainment Weekly and the star is looking to her roots.

“I think it’s totally different from any of her other albums. But it feels like her. At the end of the day, I go back to that. The thing about this album is there’s a lot of different places that it touches, but at the end of the day, it’s pure Janet.”

Still got it! Janet still has the moves from her Rhythm Nation days!
