Jamie Foxx has spoken out about claims he has been secretly dating Katie Holmes for over a year.
The Oscar winner quashed any notion that he was involved with Tom Cruise’s ex-wife.
“Oh come on you guys have been trying to make that stick for three years, we’re just friends,” Jamie told TMZ when they approached him on the street in Los Angeles.
“As a matter of fact Anthony Zuiker, creator of CSI, he offered us an animation project and we’re working on that.”
Jamie seemed unfazed by the rumours, taking a selfie with a fan before adding, “They have been trying to do that for three years – just stories I guess. You just have to respect – that’s just part of our lives.”
Reports about Katie and Jamie resurfaced when new photos of the pair emerged last week, showing them holding hands, while playing a little game of footsie!
Contradicting Jamie’s denials, mutual friends of the pair also revealed that they couldn’t be happier for Katie, revealing to Us Weekly that Jamie is completely taken by the Dawson’s Creek actress, with one insider revealing he calls her ‘my girl’ as in, “My girl is calling.”
“Jamie is someone she can trust and have fun with. She’s getting everything from Jamie that she didn’t get with Tom,” the couple’s friend revealed.
Katie was first romantically linked to Jamie back in 2013, after the pair sparked rumours of a romance when they were spotted dancing together at the 4th Annual Apollo in the Hamptons benefit.
Katie has yet to comment on the situation.
