Just when you thought there was a new search on for the next Christian Grey, Jamie Dornan has hit back.
Despite rumours he had quit his Fifty Shades of Grey role in the movie franchise at the request of his wife Amelia Warner, Jamie says he is still up for the role.
“Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film,” Jamie’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE.
It had previously been reported that Jamie was walking away from the raunchy role because his wife Amelia Warner wasn’t too impressed with the racy sex scenes he is involved in with co-star Dakota Johnson.
Jamie added to the speculation by letting slip at the UK premiere of the film that his wife wasn’t exactly thrilled with the role, revealing that she hadn’t seen the film, adding, “And I don’t think she will, to be honest.”
While a movie sequel is not yet confirmed, at least we know Jamie Dornan is up for it!
