Things may not have worked out romantically for their Home and Away characters, but James Stewart and Sarah Roberts couldn’t be a cuter couple if they tried.
The newlyweds tied the knot in a fairytale wedding in Ireland back in July but at the 2019 AACTA Awards, James, 44, and Sarah, 35, shared some more details about their nuptials, including how much James’ seven-year-old daughter Scout enjoyed the day.
While Sarah channelled bridal elegance in her silver Chosen By One Day gown accessorised with a black waist belt, her proud husband looked dapper in a black suit and bow tie.
Speaking exclusively to Now To Love, Sarah, 35, remarked of their wedding day, “It was really special. We got married in a castle, I think that’s a dream come true and we had all of our close friends and relatives around so I don’t think I could’ve wished for anything more.”
James added, “No neither, it was a wonderful day.”
James’ daughter Scout, whom he shares with his ex Jessica Marais, was of course present at the wedding and according to the doting dad, she had a blast.
“She loved it,” James says. “She met her new cousins, she got makeup on, she put on a pretty dress. Some of the photos I’ve seen of her are pretty special.”
Too cute!

While the couple’s nearest and dearest were there to watch them exchange vows in Ireland, James and Sarah confessed that there weren’t many of their fellow Home and Away cast members there.
“It was mainly crew to be honest,” Sarah reveals. “We had two weddings, so we signed the official papers in Coogee at our house before we left for Ireland and a lot of crew helped us out with that wedding.”
However Sarah, who turned 35 on the day of the AACTA Awards, was treated to the ultimate birthday bash thrown by new husband, James.
The party was attended by Sarah’s closest friends, including Home and Away co-stars Penny McNamee and Sam Frost.
“Being a good husband, I’ve had two weeks of birthday specials,” James jokes. “Last week we had a big cast birthday and we don’t know who got the loosest because the lights went down, the sun went down so everyone had a good time.”
