James Stewart and Sarah Roberts are kicking off 2019 in style with a romantic holiday to New York City.
The couple who found love on the set of Home and Away and revealed their engagement to the world in December have been sharing snaps of their getaway on social media and it looks like they’re having a blast in the Big Apple.
Sarah shared an adorable snap of the couple locked in a tight hug in front of Manhattan’s Flatiron Building captioning it, “…concrete jungle where dreams are made of…,” referring to the Alicia Keys song and ode to New York, Empire State Of Mind.
James also shared a picture of the couple outside the Dakota Apartments across from iconic Central Park, the same place where John Lennon and Yoko Ono lived. James even showed a comparison shot of himself and his fiance standing in the same spot as the Beatles band member and his wife once stood, captioning it simply with ‘Imagine’.
Uncanny! Maybe the future husband and wife will be back for their honeymoon…
The couple also met up with friends and fitness trainers Chief Brabon and Emilie Brabon-Hames and shared a photo of the foursome. Could they be helping the couple when they start shredding for the wedding?
Speaking to New Idea, the couple revealed that 2019 is the year that they will tie the knot.
“Spring would be a great time to have our wedding,” Sarah said.
“New beginnings, new life, new chapter. Jimmy’s family is from the Gold Coast and my family is from Melbourne, so it’ll be somewhere along the East Coast. I’ve asked my brother to walk me down the aisle.”
Just weeks after their engagement, James confirmed the engagement news with a sweet snap of his fiance flashing a smile and her brand new engagement ring with the caption, “She said Yes. ✨💍✨”
Sarah also took to Instagram to share her delight captioning a festive picture of her and James standing under mistletoe, “If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling that love actually is all around. I get to keep him forever. ❤️ #fiance.”
This is James’ second engagement after his relationship with his Packed to the Rafters co-star Jessica Marais. Despite the split, the couple share custody of six-year-old daughter, Scout and continue to co-parent like pros.
“Once you realise it’s about Scout, everything’s easy,” James told Sunday Style in 2017.
“Jess and I have nothing to hide. I think dignity is the key. We are both out for each other’s best interests.”
