Through his marriage, his retirement and constant scandals, Shane Warne has kept one woman in his life. In an exclusive interview she talks to Woman’s Day about her affair with the star cricketer and infamous womaniser.
“I’ve never been in the public eye,” admits Kerrie Lee, 36, from Melbourne, who’s finally coming clean about her long-term love affair with Warnie. “When I met Shane I never thought we’d still be friends, still be seeing each other, years later.”
Despite the odds — Shane’s on/off marriage to Simone, his many indiscretions and lengthy work trips to the UK — Kerrie arguably has been Shane’s most successful relationship, as time after time he came back to her.
“I think as time went on I realised Shane needs someone to talk to, someone who’s out of the whole media circus and someone he can trust…”
