Where was Isla Fisher born?
While Isla was born in Muscast, Oman on February 3, 1976, her parents are Scottish and spent her early childhood in Bathgate, Scotland before relocating to Perth in Western Australia when she was just six years old.
Her career
At just nine years old, Isla began to show an interest in the entertainment industry and appeared in Australian TV commercials. From here, she began landing small roles in Bay City, Paradise Beach to starring in one of Australia’s most iconic soap operas, Home and Away from 1994 to 1997.
While starring in the soap, she also wrote and published two best-selling novels, ‘Seduced By Fame’ and ‘Bewitched.’
In 2002, Isla moved to Hollywood where she landed to love interest in hit children’s movie, Scooby-Doo, where she featured as a blonde.
Her big break was in Wedding Crashers in 2005 alongside Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.
But many young girls obsessed with 2000s chick-flicks would know Isla from her character Rebecca Bloomwood on Confessions of a Shopaholic in 2009. The movie follows a girl in sever debut due to her shopping addiction when she lands a job at a finance magazine, writing articles giving advice on how to save money… the irony is clear.
Isla’s career boomed as she starred in Hot Rod, Now You See Me, Tag and Keeping Up With The Jonses. As of 2023, she is starring in comedy-drama series, Wolf Like Me.
Who is Isla Fisher married too?
During a Sydney party in 2001, Isla found her soulmate in her now-husband English comedian and actor Sacha Baron Cohen, most commonly reognised for his character, Borat.
Reflecting on their first encounter, Sacha told The New York Times: “She was hilarious. We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party. I knew instantly. I don’t know if she did.”
In 2004, Sacha dropped down on one knee. Six years later on March 15, 2010, the pair wed in a beautiful Jewish ceremony in Paris surrounded by a total of six guests.
Three years prior to their wedding, Isla converted to Cohen’s religion, Judasim telling Metro in 2009 that she loved the “huge emphasis” on family.
Does Isla Fisher have children?

Their first born, a daughter named Olive arrived on October 17, 2007. While speaking at the premiere of her movie, Hot Rod, Isla confessed she was “so happy
and “very excited” to become a mother.
Their second daughter was quietly welcomed in August 2011, and kept her name secret for months until Isla confessed to Us Weekly her name was Elula Lottie Miriam Cohen. Elula means ‘August’ in Hebrew.
Lastly, but not least, is Isla and Sacha’s third child, a son named Montgomery Moses Brian Cohen on March 17, 2015.
