It turns out the leaked photos of Cindy Crawford which went viral recently may in fact be a fake!
The photos of the supermodel sparked a social media frenzy, however the photographer behind the images has come out saying they are not the real images.
John Russo, who has photographed Hollywood royalty including Angelina Jolie and Julie Roberts, has taken fire at The UK’sTelegraphandSunday Telegraphfor publishing the viral images threatening legal action if the images are not removed.
“It has been falsely claimed that this photograph represents an unretouched photograph of Cindy Crawford. This is unequivocally untrue.” John said in the statement.
“This is a fraudulent version of my photograph that has been maliciously altered and does not represent the actual legitimate image taken by me,” He continued.
TMZ obtained a copy of a letter in which the established photographer’s lawyer states that what is circulating around the internet is a “doctored photographic image” and the UK newspaper has “sought to afford credibility to what is a fraudulent photograph by describing this as ‘a leaked, unretouched photograph of the presumed perennially perfect supermodel’”.
Fans declared the viral image inspiring. Cindy’s husband even weighed in on the comments posting his own photo of his bikini-clad wife.
Cindy is yet to make comment over the image or the comments by John.
