Close your ears, Taylor Swift fans! The 25-year-old songstress reveals she’s taking a long hiatus from music after her 1989 World Tour wraps up in Australia this December.
‘I think I should take some time off,’ she says, having spent over a year travelling the world.
But oddly, it isn’t because she’s exhausted. ‘I think people might need a break from me,’ says the Shake It Off singer. ‘I’m going to… I don’t know. Hang out with my friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don’t know.’
The star, reportedly worth $334.7 million, says that no matter what she does, there’s no way any future music can outdo the success of her 1989 album.
‘How could the next one be as big? Maybe the next album will be a bridge to somewhere else. Or maybe I’ll just go ahead and change everything.’
And Tay admits that while the fame is nice, it can sometimes become too much.
‘I’m in the news every single day for multiple different reasons and it can feel, at times, if you let your anxiety get the better of you, like everybody’s waiting for you to really mess up – and then you’ll be done.’
She adds that sometimes the attention is so overwhelming she needs to bring herself back down to earth.
‘A lot of the time I need to call my mum and talk for a really long time, just to remind myself of all the things that are great and all the things that matter,’ she reveals.
Meanwhile, there are doubts over whether her long-distance relationship with Calvin Harris, 31, have survived her big tour.
It sounds like Taylor might withdraw into the shadows after December!
