The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards was a star-studded, action-packed night filled with plenty of shocks, frocks and a whole lot of goss!
But everyone knows that the real party begins when the curtains close…
Beyonce gave us some serious FOMO when she invited Hollywood’s finest to a dinner at Pasquale Jones, redefining squad goals with a crew to rival Taylor’s.
A series of power couples joined Queen Bey and Jay-Z at the New York restaurant, including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Alicia Keys and her hubby Swizz Beats, and Puff Daddy and long-time girlfriend Cassie.
Amid the celebrations, Swizz took to Instagram to share a happy snap with the caption “Family Zone”.
“Kanye and Kim were very affectionate. Jay and Beyoncé were acting like a happy married couple,” said a source.
“Everyone had a lot of fun and there was a lot of reminiscing about the old days and catching up. It was very chill,” a lucky diner told Us Weekly of the star-studded party.
“Everyone was clapping for and congratulating Beyoncé a lot. She was in a great mood and looked gorgeous. Kanye and Kim were seriously congratulating her.”
The source was, of course, referring to Beyonce’s win of eight Moonmen, including the coveted Video of the Year award which was presented to her for Formation.
Kimye couldn’t keep their hands off of each other!
Meanwhile, a second insider has revealed to E! News that the party couldn’t stop celebrating another VMAs highlight; Kanye West’s four minutes of free reign.
“They were all talking about Kanye’s speech over dinner. They actually said that it was tame for Kanye,” the spectator added. “Kanye was in a great mood and was really happy how [things] went.”

And while just about anyone would have loved to party by Beyonce’s side, another power almost-couple opted to attend a special party of their own.
Work singers and finger’s-crossed reunited flames, Drake and Rihanna, took their crew to Downtown Manhattan where they arrived at the Up&Down club no later than 3:30am.
The 28-year-old, who was this year’s recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, made a statement in a pastel green fringe jumpsuit which she paired with a baby pink clutch.

Inside the venue, the pair were seen getting cosy with one another. Sources confessed that the frequent collaborators “didn’t leave each other’s side” as they held hands and shared a few kisses.
Taking to Instagram, Drake uploaded a PDA-packed snap of him and the woman he professed his love to earlier in the evening with the caption: “This is a night for us all to be thankful for what you have done for us!”
“You have affected so many of our lives in the best way possible. Tonight we celebrate you!”
