Six months after being found unresponsive and face down in a bathtub, Bobbi Kristina Brown has been farwelled in her home of Georgia, with hundreds of onlookers standing by.
The funeral for the singer, aged just 22, was held today at the St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta in Georgia, with family and friends in attendance.
But family and friends weren’t the only ones present.
Bobbi Kristina’s funeral drew crowds of hundreds of well-wishers and fans, both local and international, who all came to pay their respects.
Although the funeral was closed to the public, the crowds gathered along the barricades outside of the church with signs and flowers.
Some of the well-wishers had travelled to Georgia to be there.
“We’re die-hard fans of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, we just wanted to be near as we could be,” said a waiting fan.
Bobbi Kristina, daughter of singers Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, was found by her boyfriend lying face down in a bathtub in January. After CPR was performed by her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, for several minutes, Brown was transferred to a hospital were her brain function was declared “minimal”.
Brown spent the following six months in a hospice before dying on 26th of July.
Bobbi’s body will now be flown to NewJersey, where it will be buried next to her mother, Whitney Houston.
