It is no secret that Hugh Sheridan is Australia’s sweetheart after starring in Packed to the Rafters from 2008 to 2013 as Ben Rafter.
But what is the actor doing now? We investigate.
After his stint on the Australian program, Hugh went on to star Escape and Evasion, and Christmas on The Farm.
Plus, Hugh is a fantasic singer! He has headlined HAIR at the Sydney Opera House; starred in the musical tick, tick… boom!; and performed songs by Neil Diamond in Solitary Man the concern.
However, many fans now know Hugh for his starring role on the comedy drama series, Five Bedrooms as Lachlan Best alongside other well-known actors including Stephen Peacocke and Doris Younane.
Other than his acting career, Hugh is living his life to the fullest – going on epic cruises – which he recently performed on, travelling around Europe and partying with his friends.
But Hugh’s trip to Israel in October 2023 saw him narrowly escape a Hamas terrorist attack. Hugh hid with his friends in a stairwell, waiting out the attacks.
“A few hours ago everyone was living life completely normal in Israel. It was a big Jewish holiday yesterday, one week after new year,” he wrote.
“We were at a BBQ yesterday with young people who are now on their way to Gaza to fight. My heart breaks, I’m in the stairwell.”
He then shared distressing videos of sirens going off and the deserted streets of Israel while he “desperately” waited to catch a taxi to the airport and flee the country.
Hugh safely arrived in Athens, Greece but he confessed to Nine Entertainment that it was difficult to leave behind all the people he met during his visit.
“I feel sad I’m not there, I feel guilty for getting out but I knew what we had to do but it’s really hard thinking about all the wonderful people that we met and how dramatically their lives have changed in one day,” he said.
The Israeli foreign ministry has said at least 700 Israelis have been killed and more than 2,000 have been injured in the attacks.
