While his co-star Anne Hathaway won best supporting actress for her performance in British musical Les Miserables, Hugh missed out on the best actor gong to Daniel Day-Lewis who won for Lincoln.

The stars braved the rain and snow to walk the red carpet with some, including Jennifer Lawrence sporting coats to keep her warm. Others like Jennifer Garner and Marion Cotillard didn’t let the chilly weather stop them flaunting their spectacular gowns.
