Hugh Jackman is returning home for an Australian tour of his stage show The Man. The Music. The Show.
The Golden Globe, Grammy and Tony Award-winning performer announced the news earlier today in a special event held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.
The new show will see Hugh perform with a live orchestra, and special guest Keala Settle from The Greatest Showman. The absurdly talented star will be performing hit songs from The Greatest Showman, Les Misérables and more from Broadway and film.
“I’ve been doing a lot of preparation, a lot of dancing in this. My choreographer likes to think I’m 25 years of age,” Hugh, 50, told us at the press conference, adding that he will have special guests joining him on stage.
“One of the things I love when I go to see a show is that feeling of ‘something happened tonight that could not happen any other night.’ Hopefully that’s not a mistake like me falling off stage, but I have guests coming on various parts of the tour. I can’t tell you obviously who, but I definitely have plans.”
Hugh will perform 13 Australian shows across five of our major cities on his world tour.
