Actor Hugh Grant has become a dad for the third time after welcoming a secret love child with Swedish TV producer Anna Elisabet Eberstein.
The pair’s baby boy was born in September 2012, just three months before the birth of Hugh’s second child, Felix, with Tinglan Hong, UK newspaper The Sun has revealed.
“They were pregnant with Hugh’s children at the same time. It’s an unusual arrangement,” a source told the newspaper.
While Anna and Tinglan were pregnant at the same time, it is unclear whether the pair knew each other was expecting.
Hugh was outed as the baby’s father after his name appeared on the re-registered birth certificate after the father’s name on the first certificate was left blank.
He is said to have been there for Anna throughout her pregnancy and following the birth.
“Anna is being supported by Hugh all the way. She lives in a very comfortable property in West London and knows that Hugh is there for her,” the source added.
“Anna’s parents in Sweden know all about the relationship and she has their blessing.”
Meanwhile Tinglan, who is the mother of Hugh’s 16-month-old daughter Tabitha, gave birth to Felix on December 29.
“In answer to some journos, I am thrilled my daughter now has a brother. Adore them both to an uncool degree. They have a fab mum,” Hugh tweeted at the time of Felix’s birth.
“And to be crystal clear, I am the daddy.”
Hugh has previously commented that, while coming as something of a shock, fatherhood has had a very positive “life-changing” effect on him.
“Everyone was right all these years, saying, ‘Hugh, why don’t you have some children? It changes your life.’ Now that I have a child, it is life-changing. I recommend it,” he told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show.
“I can’t pretend it wasn’t a little bit of a surprise. But it’s a very nice surprise. In fact, the baby’s name in Chinese (the mother is Chinese), means ‘happy surprise’.”
