From the Tony’s to the Golden Globes.

While some may think that hosting an awards show in front of Hollywood’s hottest is an honorary privilege, turns out they’re pocketing money for it.

Surprisingly, it’s not a lot. Well, for the Tony’s, that is.

Hosts of last year’s Tony Awards, Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth, revealed how much they bagged for the gig. It was just $3,810 each.

“It was barely enough to cover subway fare,” joked Kristin.

Chris Rock, host of this month’s Oscars, will likely pull in a figure somewhere between $15,000 to $25,000, according to The Hollywood Reporter in 2013.

But if you get asked to take charge of the Golden Globes, you’re onto a good thing. Vanity Fair reports that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler each took home something in the low six figures.
