Dressed in her own white lace gown and a headband of flowers, Ivy, looked so sweet when she made her entrance that the 150 guests, including cricket stars Brad Haddin, Henriques Moises and Peter Siddle, broke out into spontaneous applause.
Of course, the baby is still too young to walk on her own, but her handsome nine-year-old cousin, Kaden, who is David’s nephew, proved to be a more than able escort, carrying Ivy in his arms down the aisle.
“I was quite emotional when I saw Ivy,” reveals David, who says he had to hold back the tears when he saw his beautiful bride, appear in her incredible gown, just minutes after Ivy arrived at the intimate ceremony.
The tough talking cricket star proved to be a big softie on the day, telling his family and friends how Candice and Ivy had transformed his life. “In my wildest dreams I couldn’t imagine how happy I could be,” he declared in his wedding speech.
“What you have done for me over the last 12 months is amazing. You make me a better person. You are my rock. I will love you until the day I die.”
David and Candice’s complete wedding album can only be seen in Woman’s Day out on Monday!
