She once let slip that Donald Trump had taken a liking to her many moons ago, but when Salma Hayek stopped by for a chat on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah recently, the 50-year-old spilled every last detail.
According to the Mexican-born beauty, the TV personality’s courtship began when she let out a cold shiver at an event – which she was attending with her boyfriend at the time.
Explaining how Trump appeared out of nowhere to put his jacket over her shoulders, Salma says: “I turn around and my boyfriend — so charming, so nice — he said hello [to Trump],” she recalls.
“[Trump] said, ‘I’m sorry, your girlfriend, I saw she was cold.’ And then he kept talking to my boyfriend.”

The actress goes on to say that the 70-year-old invited the couple to dinner and to visit his hotel in Atlantic City, and asked for both of their phone numbers.
Though Trump never spoke to Salma’s then-partner again, he did reach out to her.
“He’s inviting me out, and I’m like, ‘What about my boyfriend? Am I crazy? Are you asking me out? You know I have a boyfriend,’” she recalls saying.
Trump apparently responded by saying, “‘He’s not good enough for you. He’s not important, he’s not big enough for you. You have to go out with me.’”
The Frida star’s candid confession comes as the now-President’s State Visit to the United Kingdom was cancelled indefinitely at the request of The White House.
The Guardian reports that Trump told a “surprised” Teresa May over the phone that he didn’t want to make his way across the pond until the British’s perception of him changes for the better.
It’s said he fears large-scale protests, and will instead take the Prime Minister up on her invitation when he has the support of the British people.
May invited the President to visit Britain says after his inauguration. Shortly afterward, more than a million people signed a petition urging her to rescind the offer.
