It’s rare for Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou to share images of her adorable goddaughter Sofia, but fans love seeing her gorgeous cheeks and brown eyes pop up on our screens.
Ada took to Instagram to share a picture of in godmother mode on Tuesday.
“Babysitting duties with my gorgeous goddaughter,” Ada wrote on Instagram.
Sofia was welcomed into the world in April 2021 and a month later Ada was named her godmother at the christening. Ada couldn’t have been prouder as she marked the special occasion with an adorable tribute.
“I had the honour of christening this gorgeous girl yesterday. Sofia I love you so much already and promise to protect you always,” she wrote.
“Thank you to @cnico1980 and @efiakos for choosing me to be Sofia’s godmother. And a big thank you to @velani and @velani_christening_couture for making both our incredible gowns.”
The last time fans saw Sofia on Ada’s Instagram account was back in early August when the family – including Sofia’s parents – travelled to Queenstown in New Zealand.
Following the trips end, Ada penned: “Back from holidays and right into work but we REALLY miss little Sofia.”
Although Ada’s role of godmother is still relatively new, she is not estranged from motherly roles after having her son Johnas Xipolitas 10 years ago.
The Home and Away star recently celebrated her son’s birthday and posted an adorable flashback of the mother-son duo.
“How fast they grow! Johnas turned 10 this week and I’m still struggling to understand how it went so fast! He’s a little man now, just getting so big,” she wrote.
Ada and Johnas’ father Chrys Xipolitas split in 2016, but the 10-year-old still has an amazing role model with step-dad Adam Rigby.
In an interview with TV WEEK, the television star revealed the Adam and Johnas “adore each other.”
“He’s such a great stepdad and has really stepped up,” she explained. “For a man to come into my world and love a child as if he were his own – and love me like I’ve never been loved before – is incredibly special.
“I rely on him a lot, which is a real first for me. I’ve never been able to do that before; I’ve always held the reins. So it’s nice to know he has our back – he’s a great man.”
