Iconic actor Mickey Rooney, who spent nearly his entire life in show business, has died aged 93.
The actor had been battling health issues for some time, but was still working. He leaves behind his eighth wife Jan and nine children, TMZ reports.
Mickey, who was one of the most famous actors in entertainment history after 91 years in the business, had an incredible 340 acting credits to his name.
He was known for his role as Andy Hardy in The Hardy Boys and starred alongside Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Most recently, Mickey starred inThe Muppets in 2011 with Amy Adams and Jason Segal. He had been busy working onDr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde, due out later this year, when he died.
