The Sun‘s exclusive report claims that the longtime celebrity has known for some time that he had contracted the virus, and his lawyers are “preparing for a raft of potential legal claims from previous lovers”.
Woman’s Day online has been informed of the identity of the actor, but at this time is choosing not to revel it.
“It has now become common knowledge that this star is HIV positive, something he has known for a number of years,” The Sun’s source said. “His lawyers are bracing for the threat of potential action.”
His previous relationships include high-profile models, an award-winning actress, and several other extremely well-known women.
“The reality is that if he’s knowingly put women at risk then that’s disgusting and it’s only a matter of time before it becomes public,” the insider explained to the publication.
HIV, which affects the immune system and can develop into AIDS if left untreated, is spread through the bodily fluid of infected people.
In Australia, more than 27,000 people are infected with HIV, and it’s estimated that 12% are unaware of their positive status.
