With one swift click of a camera, Hilaria Baldwin has won the hearts – and respect – of mothers everywhere.
After recently giving birth to her second child, Hilaria, who is the wife of movie star Alec Baldwin, snapped a ‘post-baby selfie’ for her Instagram. But, instead of the flat abs and toned muscles that we’ve seen in recent weeks, Hilaria’s relatable pic showed what a ‘post-baby body’, you know, actually looks like.
With her tummy still round two days after giving birth to son Rafael, the 31-year-old yoga instructor proudly showed off the remnants of her pregnancy – something she said she had been planning to do.
“I’m feeling well, been up with him every hour to two hours. I have been planning on doing post belly photos but didn’t know if I was gonna have the guts to actually follow through,” wrote the mother-of-two.
Fortunately, Hilaria did indeed pluck up the courage, and followed through with not one, but two ‘post-baby body’ shots.
“Update on us … Rafael is doing wonderfully! He is two days old now. Such a sweet little boy,” she captioned her first shot (left), “I hope you understand my intention here: I believe it is important to accept and love our form after going through a bit of a battle bringing life into this world. Deep breath, here we go … all the way from my glamorous hospital bathroom #ShrinkingBaldwinBabyBump #NoShame #LoveYourBody.”
She posted a second shot (right), explaining that she was still in hospital for observation following Rafael’s early arrival.
“The other question has been speculation as to why I stayed in the hospital a few days. Rafael came a little early (nothing extreme) so we just wanted to stay an extra night and make sure all is ok,” she wrote on her Instagram, “Due dates are estimates and he came out a healthy weight. I’m actually lucky because given another few weeks, he would have been HUGE!”
The 31-year-old also has a daughter, Carmen, with husband, Alec.
