She put on a brave face at the tennis but off court a bitter feud is tearing Bec’s loved ones apart.
With Lleyton Hewitt enjoying his best sporting success in years and his sister Jaslyn expecting her second baby, it should be a time of celebration for Australia’s first family of tennis. But nothing could be further from the truth.
Lleyton’s parents Glynn and Cherilyn are still feuding with Jaslyn over her choice of husband, and treating Bec like one of their own.
And it is Bec, 30, who’s feeling the heat from the war between the Hewitts despite, or even because of, her close relationship with Cherilyn, who attended the Australian Open last week with her.
Cherilyn proudly sat beside her famous daughter-in-law and cheered on Lleyton but Jaslyn, 30, who works for Tennis Australia, was not part of the cosy family courtside reunion.
