Their fairytale personas weren’t only formed by their collaborative projects (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Alice in Wonderland among them), but by their unique style and enduring marriage in an industry where relationships have the life expectancy of a mayfly.
But that partnership seems to have come to an end with the couple announcing that they have “amicably” split.
Bonham Carter’s representative told People that Helena and Tim “separated amicably earlier this year and have continued to be friends and co-parent their children.”
Burton, 56, and Carter, 48, first met in 2001 while working on Planet of the Apes together.
The couple never married. They have two children together.
