Dame Helen Mirren might be nearly 70-years-old but movie bosses think she is in such great shape she can pass for a super fit body double aged just 30.
The Oscar-winner, 69, is currently filming thriller Eye in the Sky alongside Colin Firth and Aaron Paul in Cape Town, South Africa and producers have cast Fleur van Eeden as Mirren’s professional stunt double.
Speaking to The Mirror, Fleur said: “It’s amazing to be playing her body double when I’m 40 years younger than her. But Helen looks fantastic.
“No way does she look her age – she looks amazing. I want to look like that when I’m 69.”
Dame Helen Mirren is still a sex symbol at 69-years-old.
The similarity is not such a stretch for the actress whose impressive figure was papped in a red bikini while on holiday in Italy 2008.
The sizzling shots of Mirren’s toned and taught frame made headlines the world over but the Brit played down the hype and told the MailOnline that the images will “haunt” her for the rest of her life.
“In and of itself, it is a lie because I don’t actually look like that and I know that that is going to haunt me forever and I’ll be forever trying to bury it unsuccessfully,” Mirren once said.
And the Dame’s down-to-earth nature gave her co-star another reason to gush.
“She is an amazing lady and thanked me so much for doubling her. She was awestruck by the beauty of where we were filming.”
