Heidi Klum’s family holiday in tropical Hawaii turned into a dramatic rescue scene as her eldest son Henry was caught in a dangerous rip.
The supermodel’s maternal instincts sprung into action as she pulled the seven-year-old from the water with the help of bodyguard boyfriend Martin Kristen.
“We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave,” she told ET Online.
“Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water.”
Two of Klum’s nannies came to Henry’s aid trying to pull him from the water, but got caught themselves with Heidi dragging the two women from the surf herself, helped by her father, Gunther, who was also holidaying with the family on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu.
“Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely,” Klum said.
