Fresh from a two-month stint in rehab to tackle her substance abuse issues, Heather Locklear’s getting a reality check of a different kind – she’s joining the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills!
After shocking assault charges led to her decision to enter an LA clinic in March, the 56-year-old star has been working hard to get her life back on track.
She even spent Mother’s Day with her semi-estranged daughter Ava, 20.
And now her professional life’s getting a boost too. In Touch mag reports Housewives producer Andy Cohen has been after Heather to join the franchise “for years”, and “her people think it might be a good way for her to stay accountable and sober”.
In fact, the insider says joining the show could be the “start of a comeback” for the troubled actress, who punched a police office during her March arrest and allegedly almost bit fiancé Chris Heisser’s nose off!
Still, there is some concern it could be a recipe for disaster for Heather, considering how much drama – and booze – comes with the show.
Meanwhile, it looks like Heather could be a surprise replacement for Lisa Rinna! Whaaat?!
Amid reports that current Housewives Dorit Kemsley and Erika Girardi are threatening to leave due to pay disputes, Lisa has seemingly been demoted to a “friend”, after the show’s network Bravo referred to her as such in a May 13 tweet.
It follows Lisa, 54, admitting she’s scaling back on stirring the pot as she wants to project a better image for her daughters, Delilah, 19, and Amelia, 16.
“My children are doing their modelling and are in this business, I need to show them a strong woman,” she explained.
