Happy birthday, Michael Clarke!
Cricketer Michael Clarke turns 34 today. Considered one of the best to ever play for Australia, Clarke has been climbing the ladder of greatness since his debut in 2004, including winning the captaincy in 2011.
Clarke’s illustrious career includes four Allan Border Medals (he is the tied with cricket great Ricky Ponting for the most AB Medals won), 28 Test centuries, and the 5-0 whitewash victory against England in the 2013/2014 Ashes series. As well as this, Clarke remains the only Australian cricketer to ever to score centuries in both in domestic and international debuts.
After announcing his retirement from one day matches last week, Michael Clarke will retain the Test captaincy and lead the Australian cricket team against the West Indies in June.
