Itโs a rite of passage for any little kid and now, doting dad Hamish Blake is making sure his first child, Sonny Blake, is learning from the best as he teaches him how to ride a bike.
The radio star, 35, is very well equipped to show the three-year-old the ropes.
Last year, the True Stories co-creator joined Aussie bike champ Cadel Evans in the Italian Apls for a gruelling charity race.
Heโs also taken part in a slew of other challenging tracks, including the infamous Peaks Challenge in Falls Creek.
But the Logie winner admits he wasnโt always a fan of cycling. โNo offence to the twoยญ-wheeled community, but I had a mountain bike for my paper round until I was twelve, then I went cold turkey until I rode a BMX for a year to get around Sydney when I was 18. I hadnโt owned a bike since, that is until [2015],โ he told Ride On Magazine.
โI took up cycling because I love a challenge,โ he added.
And it looks like heโs passing on his newfound hobby to his son! The two were recently spotted having a pedal together in Melbourne.

No doubt Hamish is making the most of his time with Sonny ahead of the arrival of baby number two.

The three-year-old carefully pedaled along.

โHeโs sensitive and sweet and thoughtful and really cares about the little things,โ the proud dad says of his son.

โSonny has good comic timing,โ he adds.

And the comedian admits he loves staying active with Sonny.

โBefore having Sonny, it was easy to box or cycle with friends three times a week but now we have more realistic goals like touch your toes, pick Sonny up without your back exploding and play in the backyard without sustaining a serious injury.โ

Sonny is about to become a big brotherโฆ

With his mum Zoe Foster Blake due to welcome her second child imminently.

But for now, heโs enjoying some precious one-on-one time with dad.

In May, the couple revealed to TV WEEK theyโd found out the sex of bub number two but were keeping it under wraps.

โWeโre not telling,โ Zoe said.
