As for the reason they split, the Coldplay front-man and his Oscar-winning ex will be citing irreconcilable differences on their divorce papers.

Since announcing their split on the blonde beauty’s website Goop the duo have been showing the world that it is possible to be amicable exes.

The family of four have been spotted holidaying together on multiple occasions since the separation.

Gwyneth has even leant her support to Chris’ new flame, actress Jennifer Lawrence.

Speaking on The Howard Stern Show the 42 year-old actress said: “I respect him as the father of my children… he wouldn’t be with someone who isn’t great”.

They revealed their separation in a memorable statement posted online in March last year, where they coined the term “conscious uncoupling.”

“We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner,” the statement read.

The divorce paperwork have been filed and it is expected to be made official later this week
