Gwyneth Paltrow ensured all eyes were on her in Hollywood last night, donning a slinky sheer dress with no underwear.
The 40-year-old actress strutted the red carpet at the Iron Man 3 premiere in a daring Antonio Berardi gown, which featured sheer side panels that exposed her legs from ankle to waist.
The see-through sides also made it abundantly clear that Gwyneth, a mother of two, was not wearing any underwear.
Though it looked demure from the front, the side-view left fans, and co-star Robert Downey Jr, blushing.
The designer was thrilled with how Gwyneth looked in the creation, praising her for looking “iconic” and not trashy or cheap.
“Gwyneth manages to bridge the gap of glamour and modernity,” Berardi told Grazia. “She makes things look iconic!
“I adore the side panels in this dress — they make everything a suggestion; just a flash of a curve, and a hint of leg movement, embodying a sensuality without any vulgarity.”
But fashion bloggers disagreed. Within minutes of Gwyneth’s arrival on the red carpet, social media was alight with criticism of the overly-daring gown.
“It is sheer. I see pelvic bone. Repeat: SHE IS WEARING HER PELVIC BONE AS AN ACCESSORY,” style website Go Fug Yourself wrote.
“It’s not even expensive-looking or flattering sheerness. Imagine it black. Imagine it white, like the front. Or navy, like the back. But no. It HAD to be an episode of ‘What Would J-Lo Do’.”
