You can only imagine the gut-wrenching feeling Gwen Stefani got when she discovered the world now knows that her husband of 13 years allegedly had a sexual relationship with her children’s Australian nanny, lasting three years.
So understandably, when Gwen had to film an episode of The Voice that same day, her emotions got the better of her.
As the former No Doubt frontwoman was forced to send home three of her contestants, the mum-of-three wore her heart on her sleeve.
“Honestly, I am so blown away by this whole experience,” she told the contestants.
“You guys are saving me, you know, you are saving me. I love you guys. Watching you blossom before my eyes, having my influence on you is such a gift,” she added through tears.
“I don’t know what to do. I am just talking. What am I doing?” A flustered Gwen continued.
“I only get to save one of you guys and that is totally upsetting. But you are all so far ahead of where you were and have such opportunities now. So, look at the positive!”
Gwen’s personal life hasn’t been able to escape the headline recently and this week’s report that she discovered her ex-husband had cheated on her with the family nanny after explicit text messages synced with their household iPad, would be a devastating blow to the Grammy winner.
Luckily, the popstar has been able to find comfort in the form of a [blossoming new relationship with her Voice co-star Blake Shelton.(http://www.womansday.com.au/life/relationships/gwen-stefani-linked-to-blake-shelton-140)
