Exclusive: Guy Sebastian and his wife Jules finally talk about coping with the biggest challenge of their lives together.
The text message was brief and ominous: “Phone home, bad news.” Singer Guy Sebastian and his gorgeous wife Jules were only six days into their honeymoon when family tragedy shattered their newlywed bliss.
Shockingly, they discovered that Jules’ happy-go-lucky big brother Andrew Egan — a loving husband and father to two little girls — had died through suicide.
Less than a week before, he had been the life and soul of the party at their Sydney wedding reception — breakdancing, cracking jokes and beaming with excitement when he was introduced to former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins.
His wife Trudy was one of Jules’ bridesmaids. His older daughter, three-year-old Imogen, made a fairytale flower girl, and baby Anika, aged one, was just starting to take her first footsteps.
Andrew, who was 35, seemed to have everything to live for. Not even close family had any idea how deep his depression went…
