Grant Denyer is many things โ television host on more shows than we can count, a Gold Logie winner and a passionate advocate for mental health.
But when it comes to nailing some handy work at home, it appears he is not quite so talented.
The Channel 10 frontman was rushed to hospital for a second time this week after sustaining a back injury, and it wasnโt for the reason youโd expect.

Sharing a picture of Grant looking a little worse for wear in a hospital bed, his worried wife Chezzi shared an update weโd all been waiting for since hearing heโd been injured earlier this week.
โNot real fair, but then that is life. At least we now know what weโre dealing with now,โ she wrote.
โAnnular Fissure or ruptured/ torn disc. Itโs been quite a number of years since Iโve seen my hubby in so much pain.. OUCH!โ
We canโt blame her for being worried, as it turns out Grant sustained the injury not from a racing accident, as his wife joked, but after an accident while he was โhammering in some stakesโ in their paddock!

On Monday, Grant himself elaborated on the injury on the 2Day FM breakfast show.
โI was down the paddock mate with my Akubra on, my flannosโ, just slamming away on a star picket with a huge sledgehammer and twang โ away it went,โ he explained.
The injury left him unable to host his current gig on Channel Ten, Dancing with the Stars, on Monday evening.

And while the hospital visit this time was slightly less serious than a previous stint he had in 2008 after a bad car accident, Denyerโs fans have been flooding him with get-well-soon wishes.
Fellow Channel Ten star Angie Kent, who appeared on Gogglebox and Iโm A Celebrity, wrote a heartfelt message to Grant on Instagram: โSending you all so much love! Lots of rest, lots of down time and lots of TLC. Sometimes the universe does things to tell us to slow down, even if it is unfair.โ
Meanwhile, a fan wrote: โWishing Grant a speedy recovery xx Im sending you ALL the strength and love to get over this yet another hurdle in life xx stay strong.โ
And even Channel Ten penned its own tribute to Grant, which lightened the mood somewhat.
Posting a picture of him in hospital, the network wrote: โGet well soon @grantdenyer itโs not like youโre on half of our networkโs shows haha ๐ โ
And while itโs only really been one week without Grant on-screen, we already miss him!
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Grant!
