Our favourite hornbag, Gina Riley, has shocked Kath & Kim fans when she confessed that she and he co-star Magda Szubanski (aka Sharon) didn’t immediately click. In fact, she said that they “hated each other on sight.”
Speaking yesterday on Today Extra, she revealed: “We had mutual friends and we met each other and went ‘nah, not for me.”
Could our favourite comedy duo really be O-V-A-H?
Luckily, things perked up from there. When Magda moved in with a friend of Gina’s, she couldn’t escape her. Noice.
“I would ring up and he was never there. We started having this phone friendship where we’d do voices and talk for hours and hours on the phone,” she said. “That’s really how we became friends.”
So there we have it, all is right in the world. We’ll heed to Sharon’s wise words: “This calls for BBQ shapes and a bottle of Baileys.”
