Georgia Love and Lee Elliott have celebrated one of their biggest milestones to date – buying their first home together!
The happy couple, who met on The Bachelorette in 2016, took to Instagram to share the exciting news with their combined 343,000 followers.
Lee and Georgia posted a photo of them proudly standing outside their Melbourne property’s ‘sold’ sign. sign.
“WE GOT A MORTGAGE!! I mean HOME!! WE BOUGHT A HOME!!!” the Seven journalist captioned her post along with the hashtag “gone full adult”.
Lee shared a similar post, captioned: “Adulting Mode: Activated.”
Dozens of the couple’s celebrity friends wished them well following their purchase, with MAFS star Cam Merchant writing: “Huge congratulations 🥳”
SAS Australia star and model Erin Holland wrote: “Awww this is massive! Congrats guys!!” while celebrity stylist Lana Wilkinson commented: “Congratulations ❤️ so happy for you guys, wonderful news xx.”
The milestone comes just a month after Georgia was embroiled in a “casual racism” scandal over a video she posted of a Chinese restaurant.
The offending video featured a picture of a cat sitting in the window of a dumpling restaurant.
“Shop attendant or lunch?” Georgia captioned the video with a laughing emoji.
Georgia soon deleted the story, but took to the same platform to apologise.
“Earlier I posted a video of a cat in a restaurant window. I meant for this to be a joke about an animal being in a restaurant at lunch service time,” she penned.
“I meant absolutely no insinuation about the type of animal nor the type of restaurant, but I do see that my post did not come across like that and was offensive,” she added.
“I sincerely apologise for the oversight and offence I have caused. Thank you to those who called me out. This is what we need to make sure we are all accountable and do better. Again, I apologise from the bottom of my heart for the offence caused.”
Georgia went on to message gossip page Aussie Influencer Opinions, saying the joke was supposed to be “about an animal being in a restaurant at lunch service time.”
“I truly did not mean for any insinuation of that,” she added.
