Tensions between Hollywood’s greatest rivals have reached an all-time high.
Jennifer Aniston and Angeline Jolie are said to be at the brink of war now that the pair’s good friend, George Clooney, is one step closer to being a married man.
Ever since Jen’s then husband, Brad Pitt left her for Ange ten years ago, the trio’s close pal has never been able to take sides.
So when it came time to sending out the official invitations to his upcoming exclusive wedding to lawyer Amal Alamuddin, the one-time notorious bachelor couldn’t choose.
Now Woman’s Day can exclusively reveal that the Oscar-winning actor has invited Jennifer and her fiance Justin Theroux, 43, as well as Brad and Angelina.
Our source close to Jen, 45, says she was “surprised and a bit nervous” after receiving an ivory box that contained an invitation plus a guide to the venue, cocktail welcome party, rehearsal dinner and the wedding itself.
“She didn’t want to assume she would be invited even though she hoped she would,” the source said, adding Jen knew it meant she would be facing Brad and Ange, 39, together for the first time since they were kept apart at the 2011 Oscars.
We hear Ange is furious at the prospect of not only sharing the event with Jen, who has accused Angelina of being a “homewrecker” and a “bitch”.
And it turns out, George’s close pal Sandra Bullock, was also invited.
Adding more fuel to the fire, the Gravity star has asked TV host and Jen’s friend Chelsea Handler, 39, to be her plus one which has Ange all hot and bothered.
