George Clooney’s former flame, Elisabetta Canalis, says she’s very happy her ex is getting married to British lawyer, Amal Alamuddin.
George Clooney’s former flame, Elisabetta Canalis, says she’s very happy her ex is marrying British lawyer, Amal Alamuddin.
The actress and model, who dated the hunky fox and one-time notorious bachelor for 18 months between 2009 to 2011, is sending him her “most sincere congratulations” ahead of his big day.
Speaking to Chi magazine, Elisabetta, 35, revealed that she is pleased that George, 53, is ready to settle down and that there are no hard feelings between the pair.
“I am happy for him, but I am thinking only of my happiness,” she said.
Proving she’s well and truly moved on from George, the stunning brunette is engaged to marry orthopaedic surgeon Brian Perri.
Coincidently though, the pair are also planning to get hitched around the same time as George and Amal.
“I chose the date some time ago and September is the most beautiful time – for those who do not know Sardinia – to appreciate it,” Elisabetta explained.
Meanwhile, George and Amal are set to reveal an even bigger surprise over the coming days with Woman’s Day learning that the pair are expecting a baby!
The same source who told Woman’s Day George was getting married – days before there was an official announcement – has now confirmed the pair’s exciting news.
As previously reported, the lovebirds already obtained a marriage licence in London earlier this month.
They’ve also been spotted out and about near George’s stunning villa in Lake Como, Italy, where the lavish nuptails are expected to take place any day now.
