One-time notorious bachelor George Clooney is ready to be a politician.
The Hollywood actor, who is already a well-known and passionate political activist, is rumoured to be running for office once he and human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin get hitched in September.
The 53-year-old democrat is keen to get more involved and plans to undertake more humanitarian work in the lead up to the 2016 election campaign.
“He has big ambitions and aims to get into politics imminently,” a source told The Mirror.
Already admired for his extraordinary work in Darfur, Sudan and other impoverished regions of Africa, there’s no doubt that George’s friendship with President Obama and relationship with the best human rights lawyer in the world, who just so happens to be his future wife, will hold him in good stead come election time.

“Now he has Amal by his side it will give him more credibility to run for office,” the source added.
