If you werenโt already devastated by the fact that youโre not best friends with George Clooney, chances are you will be now.
According to Cindy Crawfordโs husband Rande Gerber (a close friend of Georgeโs), the actor once gave 14 of his closest friends a cool mill each.
โThereโs a group of guys we call โThe Boys,'โ Rande shared during a recent chat on MSNBCโs Headliners show. โGeorge had called me and โThe Boysโ and said, โHey, mark September 27th, 2013, on your calendar. Everyoneโs going to come to my house for dinner.'โ
At the dinner, the group were surprised to find luggage bags at each seat on the table โ each containing a million dollars in $20 bills.
โGeorge begins to say, โListen, I want you guys to know how much youโve meant to me and how much you mean to me in my life,'โ Rande continued. โโI came to L.A., I slept on your couch. Iโm so fortunate in my life to have all of you and I couldnโt be where I am today without all of you. So, it was really important to me that while weโre still all here together, that I give back. So I want you all to open your suitcases.'โ

George (C) is pictured here with Rande Gerber, wife Amal, photographer Mario Testino and Cindy Crawford (L-R).
Rande noted that not all members of the group were well-off โ in fact, some were struggling to provide for their families.
โ[George] goes, โI know weโve all been through some hard times, some of you are still going through it. You donโt have to worry about your kids, you donโt have to worry about, you know, school, you donโt have to worry about paying your mortgage.'โ
He added: โI mean these are guys that took care of George and now heโs giving it all back. And George said: โNot only that, I have paid everyoneโs taxes so this million dollars is yours.'โ
In a beautiful twist of fate, Rande (who, by the way, donated his share to charity) believes the actor-turned-director may have gotten his own reward out of the generous gift โ wife Amal.
โThat was September 27th, 2013. Now September 27, 2014, he marries Amal,โ Rande pointed out. โThatโs good karma right there.โ

George and Amal wed in 2014, pulling out all the stops for the lavish affair in Venice.

The duo have since welcomed twins โ a healthy boy and girl.
The Oceanโs Eleven star, 56, and human rights lawyer, 39, welcomed twins in June โ a healthy baby boy and girl.
โThis morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander, and Amal are all healthy, happy, and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days,โ the family said in a statement to People at the time.
Speaking to the publication on a separate occasion, Amalโs mum, Baria Alamuddin, said: โAmal and George were so beautiful, they were so happy, so contented. You just look at them and you feel like theyโve been a mother and father for their whole lives.โ
โSeeing these two angels, these stunningly beautiful babiesโฆ cuddled together, and seeing the joy on Amal and Georgeโs faces, itโs one of those deeply felt beautiful feelings you canโt express in words,โ she added.
โIt brought almost unrealistic pure joy and left me feeling like the most blessed human being on earth.โ

The 66-year-old was one of the few people present at her daughterโs birth.
Earlier, Georgeโs dad shared a similar sentiment while speaking with a Cincinnati TV station.
Nick Clooney, who was fortunate enough to share a Skype meet and greet with the worldโs most famous twins shortly after their grand entrance into the world, explained that both George and Amal were doing โwonderfully well.โ
He also said that the children both have dark hair and โare gorgeous,โ but one in particular seems to take after their famous father.
โNina [Warren, Georgeโs mum] swears they have Georgeโs nose,โ Nick said. โNot both of them โ one of them. The little boy looked like he had [Georgeโs] nose, his little profile.โ
